Glass Boat - The Grand Aquarium
Hurghada Grand Aquarium is a public aquarium located directly on the Red Sea in Egypt. You shouldn't miss it when visiting Hurghada, because you won't be able to get any closer to the animals and underwater plants of the Red Sea. The Red Sea in glass – as the Grand Aquarium is called, is not just an aquarium, but also a zoo. It is home to more than 100 animals representing 1,200 species. All of these are housed in tanks holding a total of 1 million (US) gallons or 3,500 m3 of salt and fresh water, making this facility one of the largest aquariums in the world since it opened in 2015. The house is run by three owners and they are still investing millions to expand the facility and stock it with new animals.
